Access details are provided by email 24 hours prior to check in.
Check-in time is not before 3pm on the arrival date and check out time is not later than 10am on departure date.
We generally cannot offer late departure and early check in due to the short turn around time we have for cleaning before our next guests.
Key collection is from a key safe with return of the key to the key safe when checking out, unless special arrangements have been made prior to arrival.
If you are arriving after business hours please inform Stay Torquay ASAP.
The property is part of a small community. Remember you are staying in someone’s cherished holiday home so please show you care. Please keep shoes off the carpet and be careful of items belonging to the home.

Payment of the security deposit or bond constitutes the guests acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
We hope you have had an amazing stay! Please refer to your check out list:
- Check out time is 10am.
- Clean out the fridge and freezer.
- Wash, dry and put away all dishes.
- Put the garbage bins out (Wednesday evening). **Excess, rubbish can be taken to communal rubbish bins in town so please do not leave excess rubbish next to bins, this will incur a fee.
- Clean the BBQ if you have used it during your stay.
- Check bedrooms and bathrooms to make sure nothing is left behind.
- Lock doors and windows. Turn all lights, heaters, fans and air con units off.
- All furniture including outdoor chairs is to be positioned in the same location as on arrival at the property.
- If you have purchased our budget linen package please strip beds and place dirty linen in laundry.
- Keys are to be returned to the relevant lock box.
Stay Torquay cannot accept responsibility for personal property such as cameras etc, that are left unattended in your holiday accommodation. Stay Torquay is not liable for any damage or loss of property which as person may sustain during your stay.
Booking Questions
We accept bookings up to 12 months in advance and recommend you book as soon as possible. Popular periods such as Summer School Holidays, Easter and Christmas book out far in advance.
Our properties are not suitable for schoolies, hens, bucks or any type of party. You must be over the age to 25 to make a reservation.
When your booking has been confirmed and deposit paid you will receive an email confirmation of your booking.
When booking online, you will be charged a 50% deposit of the total amount of the booking. The balance is due at least 30 days prior to your arrival date. You will receive an invoice via email for the outstanding amount. For bookings made within 30 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Our preferred payment option is Bank transfer. We also accept payment via Credit card (credit card surcharges apply).
Unless otherwise arranged, all payments are due at least 28 days before arrival. Keys will not be available to collect unless the property has been paid in full including linen fees, security deposit/bond and any additional items.
We don’t charge guests service fees. You will find that booking directly through our website offers substantial savings compared to Airbnb and similar platforms where you will be charged up to 15.5% in services fees. This could save you up to $1100 for a 1 week stay at a large holiday home.
We offer the following extra guest services when you book a stay with us –
- Babysitting (minimum of a 2 hour booking, charged by the hour, fees from $35ph)
- Pet sitting including dog walks (charged by the hour, fees from $25ph)
- Luxury hampers and gift baskets waiting for you upon arrival (pre order only, see property listing for details)
- Celebration cakes from local bakery Freshwater Creek Cakes (pre order only)

Yes at Stay Torquay we offer guests long term stays from 4 weeks to 6 months. Depending on the properties available, this option may suit:
- business stays
- you if you are in between rentals
- as you wait for your own home purchase to settle
- student accomodation

If the property becomes unavailable for your stay due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. fire, storm, damage, etc) the host will inform you immediately and all moneys paid will be refunded in full.
Please contact the team at Stay Torquay if you wish to cancel a booking. Please refer to the terms and conditions of each property pages to view the cancellation policy.
If you wish to cancel your booking and your check in date is less than 28 days, you won’t receive a refund for your booking. It is too late for us to re-let the property.
What to bring
Whilst most properties have a small quantity of washing powder, dishwashing liquid, soap and toilet paper, it is expected that you will need to supply extras of these depending upon your length of stay. These small token amenities won’t be restocked during your stay.
Please refer to each property listing if an indoor or outdoor fireplace is available for use. In general fireplaces are operational MAY – OCTOBER ONLY without kindling and firewood provided. Fireplaces are strictly prohibited in summer.
As a general rule, pantry items are not provided. Many properties offer a selection of stocked items items like salt, pepper, cooking oil etc to get you going but please do not expect these.

Yes, we can provide a cot and a high chair upon request. Please let us know before your arrival. Please bring all other baby items.

Janna’s studio was great. Communication was a breeze. It’s extremely clean & tidy. the layout is perfect it’s a lovely space. Great location, nice and quiet yet only a 5 minute trip to get to everything. Highly recommend!
